Quality Management Techniques and Core Concept

Quality management techniques are commonly referred to as TQM (total quality management). The core concepts of quality management are:
- Continuous process improvement
- Customer focus
- Defect prevention
- Universal responsibility
Continuous process improvement takes place in incremental steps. It should not stop in any case. The first step in quality development is for employees to look at their work and effort in terms of being part of a continuous business process.
Continuous improvement is a persistent effort. To enhance the quality improvement process select an improvement project with a specific target. Selecting project with specific plan helps in improving the total quality management. After this assign a appropriate project team to improve it. Define the project steps using a flow chart, and define variability and problems in the project. Locate the root causes of the problems and recommend improvements, and implement. Measure the results and proceed to a final implementation. Then start the new project.
The continuous quality improvement process should be driven from the top management, but implemented from the core team member and other staff. The selection of improvement projects needs a pointed focus. The problem areas should be prioritized, serious processes selected for improvement, and improvement goals set for the projects team members. This is a top down procedure. There are various techniques which teams can use for their quality improvement effort. Training should be provided so that the teams know how to use these quality techniques.
Employees who are assigned to project improvement teams need to know how to use these techniques. Managers and superior need to know these techniques too, because it is their job of make easy and drive the quality improvement effort.
Everyone is a customer – External and Internal customer. The external customer is someone who purchases the product or service. Internal customers are those who make use of what another group providers. This has fairly profound implications. It means that every work group has to think about providing value to the people who utilize their product. This involves finding out exactly what the user requirements, and ensuring that the process provides it. The initial point for quality improvement is to determine the customer requirements. When the requirements are fairly simple, this can be done merely by talking to them.
When dealing with an external customer and the product is extremely complex, the determination of the customer requirements can be quite time consuming and requires a detailed analysis. A useful tool for determining the customer requirements and ensuring that these needs are incorporated into the product design is the Quality Function Deployment Matrix. Determining customer requirements accurately is an important aspect of quality control. Obviously, it is less expensive to rectify a mistake in defining customer requirements before a product is produced then it is afterwards. So spending the time and effort to figure out the needs correctly at the start is time well spent.
Defect prevention or avoidance saves money. Process for manufacturing a product begins with a specification. Drawings are created, parts are made and assembled, and the product is delivered to the customer. The cost of rectifying a fault increases by at least a factor of ten as the product moves through each of these stages. Defect prevention or avoidance is concerned with catching the errors as early in the game as possible or preventing them from happening at all.
Universal responsibility deals with the fact that total quality is not only the responsibility of the inspection department but is everyone’s responsibility in the organization. Quality improvement should be totally pervasive. Every work group in the business should be concerned with seeking ways to improve the quality process.

Manual Malware Hunting ? A Free, Simple And Easy Way to Remove Viruses

No matter what antivirus software you have, it can’t detect each and every malware out there.. Until Antivirus companies get samples of new malware, it will remain undetected.
The antivirus applications today use heuristics and proactive scan to detect even unknown viruses but still you may encounter a lot of situations when you know your computer is infected and the antivirus is silent about that. After reading this article, it won’t be a problem anymore.
You need process Explorer to identify the malware process. Download it from here:

There are two other tools which you may need, depending on the severity of the issue:
Killbox
To delete the malware file on reboot if you can’t do it right away
Dial-a-fix
To remove any restrictive policies that malware has created in registry in order to disable task manager, command prompt etc.
Step 1: Identify the malware process
Process explorer shows you a lot of information that task manager doesn’t show. (You may not even be able to open task manager if the malware has disabled that.)
In Process explorer, you can also right click on a process, click ‘Properties’ and find even more information. Note that here is where you find out the location of the actual process which you will need.
Malicious files can be an exe file or a non exe file with extension .vbs,.dll etc.. We need to find the files of both types.
Finding malicious exe files:
Open Process Explorer and look for the processes of following type and note down their names and locations:
Process that has no description or company name
Process that is highlighted in purple (If highlighted in purple, it means that the image is packed; Malware is usually packed so that an antivirus software cannot recognize the file)
Process that has a name which looks like a core system file name is misspelled.
(For e.g. you may see a process with name ‘svhost.exe’. There is actually a svchost.exe which is a Windows file. The technique is to make you to believe that it is a Windows file)
Process with the name of an actual Windows file but is in a different location
(For e.g you may see a svchost.exe process running from C:\Documents and settings\Administrator. The actual svchost.exe file is located in C:\Windows\system32)
Process with single letter (a.exe, b.exe, c.exe)
Process with name that makes no sense and has random alphabets (for eg: hkydhrlwjds.exe)
Usually you will only see a single process and thus your malware hunting will be very easy. And by experience, you will be able to spot a malware process just by looking at Process explorer.
Finding malicious non-exe files:
There are some malware files which are not exe files and hence have to use another process to launch them. So, we have to detect them as well. Look for the following and note down the file name and locations:
Look for processes with name rundll32.exe. This is a Microsoft process which is used to run dll files. Right click the process and click ‘Properties’. Look what it says under command line.
You may see something like “rundll32.exe” shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL ”C:\WINDOWS\system32\ahtjlfuil.dll”,
We are only interested in the dll file ahtjlfuil.dll.. Note down the name and location
Look for processes with name wscript.exe. This is a Microsoft process which is used to run vbscript (.vbs) files. A vbscript virus and autorun.inf viruses will use this process to run.
Right click the process and click ‘Properties’. Look what it says under command line.
You will see something like this:
“C:\WINDOWS\System32\WScript.exe” “D:\shtnghyr.vbs”
We are interested in the file “D:\shtnghyr.vbs”..
Note down the name and location
In Process explorer, Click ‘View’ – ‘Lower pane view’ – ‘Dlls ‘ . This will show the dlls running under selected process. Select the system processes like explorer.exe, iexplore.exe, lsass.exe, winlogon.exe and csrss.exe.
In the lower pane, look for dlls which has the symptoms that we talked about in ‘Finding malicious exe files’ section. Ignore the files which are not dlls. If you find any suspicious file that has those symptoms, right click the dll file, go to ‘Properties’ and note down the location and name.
Step 2 – Find additional information about the identified files
After you note down the processes, you can do two things to determine if it is a malware:
Number one#: Search in Google. If it is a known file, your first few results will include pages from www.file.net, www.processlibrary.com etc. If Google search results are only forum posts or you get no results at all, then it is most likely a malware.
Number two#: Upload the file to any of these two sites: www.virustotal.com and http://virusscan.jotti.org . These sites will scan a single file using multiple antivirus engines and give you the results.
Step 3 – Deleting the malicious files
If the file is a standalone process or running under rundll32.exe or wscript.exe, then you can just end the process and delete the file from the location
If the file is a dll file hooked to iexplore.exe or explorer.exe, you can still end these processes and delete the file from its location.
But if the file is injected into a core process like winlogon.exe, lsass.exe or csrss.exe, then you can’t end the process; it will shut down the Windows. That is when you have to use ‘Killbox’ to delete the file on reboot. Open Killbox, browse the file that has to be deleted, check the box to delete on reboot and click the delete icon. Reboot when it prompts you to do.
Killbox uses a key in registry called ‘PendingFileRenameOperations’ to store the entries that have to be deleted on the next reboot. Some malware processes monitor the registry key and delete any entry that is added.
If that happens, you may get an error: PendingFileRenameOperationsRegistry Data has been Removed by External Process! If you get this error, then try deleting the file from safe mode, from recovery console or from any boot disks like ERD commander, hiren boot cd etc.
It would be better if you rename those files instead of deleting them and upload the infected files to any antivirus website. By uploading the files, the antivirus company has a chance to get the sample and include them in their signatures. This will be helpful to millions of others who might be having the same problem.
Step 4 – Remove any restrictive policies that malware might have created
Many spywares, viruses, Trojan horses etc disable administrative tools like task manager, registry editor and command prompt. You may get an error saying “Task manager has been disabled by the administrator’
You can use Dial-a-Fix to remove these policies from the registry. When you open it, it scans for the restrictive policies and lists them. You can check all of them and simply delete.
Step -5 : Final clean up
Doing all the steps doesn’t remove all the traces of spyware. Still there might me left out registry entries. You can use Ccleaner to clean the registry.
If possible, run some virus scans online so that you can make sure that the system is completely clean. Update your system with latest security updates and you should be good to go.

All of these areas of human development have their unique traits, but they are all dependent of each other as well. This article will describe the traits of these areas of development and discuss their connections.
Physical Development
Human development happens physically starting from conception. Physical development consists of the growth of the body and brain. It is also categorized by the development of motor skills and behavioral patterns.
Physical development is very rapid in childhood and teenage years. Throughout child hood physical development starts with learning to crawl, walk, and use the hands and feet efficiently. In the teenage years physical development is characterized through puberty.
Cognitive Development
Cognitive development is represented in terms of logic and reasoning. This area of human development pertains to thought processes and their complexity. It is also reflected by improved ability to understand theory and an increased vocabulary level and usage.
In childhood human development of the cognitive nature is evident through learning to speak and write. It is also reflected by the use of theories to rationalize and comprehend. As children turn into teenagers cognitive learning is increased, and it continues increasing as a human ages and develops.
Social-Emotional Development
This part of human development relates to feelings, emotions, morals, beliefs, and ethics. Social-emotional development in humans occurs throughout age. It is reflected through thoughts on what are right and wrong and other matters of belief and opinion.
As a human develops its thoughts include more reasoning and complexity. Through this development a human becomes more aware of their selves and others, and a human will be able to deal with social-motional developments better.
Relationships in Human Development
Human development is separated into different areas because all of these areas have specific traits. The physical, cognitive, and social-emotional developments in humans all influence each other in different ways.
Physical development influences both cognitive development and social-emotional development. Cognitive development is influences by physical development because the brain and motor skills naturally affect the development of thought patterns. Behavior is also influential over cognitive development because behavioral patterns will cause thought development to be different.
Cognitive development affects social-emotional development because the ability to think and reason will affect a person’s ability to understand feelings and emotions. It will also impact a human’s ability to understand themselves and others.
Social-emotional development is also impacted by physical development and vice versa. A human’s development of confidence may be affected by the physical development. Puberty is another reason why physical development affects social-emotional development.
The different areas of human development all have specific characteristics, but they also all have impact on each other.

It is always cheaper to buy directly in stores in India in any city (Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad) rather than to buy online when you can spare time. Prices can vary from store to store and offers can change from festival days (Dussera, Diwali, Sankranti, Pongal, Ugadi, New Year, Christmal, etc.) to non-festival days. You will also be able to get a hands on experience before buying the product if that is new for you.
I have been noticing that some electronic or consumer electronic stores are selling these goods at same price as market price (other electronic stores) but place a higher MRP tag and an offer price tag showing a discount. It helps to check several stores to get a good idea of current prices in the market before deciding to buy. It applies to online shopping as well.
